Katie Taft – Snow Day

Katie had suggestingly sent me a text that said “I think it is going to snow on Friday and we do not have school…..wink wink.” I had mentioned to her a few weeks prior that I wanted to get out and do one last winter snow shoot before it was to late. Katie was excited as the text would suggest…..and so was I

It was such a great time. I thought it would rain so put it off and told her it probabally would not happen that Friday. When I woke up to snow I called her and Dana Michele and the whole shoot came together. Dana always does such a great job and this shoot was no exception. The coloring, hair and makeup complimented what we wanted to do perfectly! My daughter Avery even got to come along and kept Kim – Katie’s mom on her toes the whole afternoon.

Katie is so much fun and always has a huge grin on when it is time to shoot. We shot most of thee in a some what sleet rain that started to come down and I do not think I have had more fun on a shoot. She was jumping, hiding in and up trees, even had a bit of a snow fight. We did not shoot for real long but made the time count!

Hope you enjoy these portraits – they are some of my favorites!
